Ruth Rowe Fredette
I was born the eighth child in a family of thirteen children and learned a lot about creativity from my Mom who was very good at making the most of what was on hand. In some ways I see art in that perspective. I see possibilities for creativity in everything that surrounds me. My Mom taught me how to knit when I was in primary school and I became fascinated by what I could create with my hands. I enjoy all kinds of textile and fibre art, I love to paint, and make jewelry, It is gratifying to visualize the end result of a new project and enjoy the creative process that allows me to escape into a world where the rules are ”mine."
Teaching gives me the satisfaction of watching the enjoyment and accomplishments of all my students
