Marsha McIntyre

Marsha McIntyre

Marsha is from the London area and took up weaving as a creative outlet after retiring from the business world. She works from her home studio (picture below) to create both traditional weaving pieces like scarves, throws, table linens but also explores the untraditional such as wall hangings, hand bags and woven shibori. Weaving is a labour of love, many hours are spent at the loom(s), but the opportunity for creativity are endless. She designs her own projects and then plays with colour, texture and pattern to achieve the final piece; each one is unique. She finds weaving a very meditative activity, the rhythm of the loom, the feel of the yarn running through your fingers, the pattern coming to life on the loom;  you can lose yourself and find yourself all at the same time while weaving. Marsha welcomes an opportunity to share the world of weaving with others.
